Gunpowder Chicken

Materials

  • 2 cans cooked chicken seasoned with garlic pepper and salt
  • 2 cups  dry rice (cooked so that it is no longer dry)
  • 1 cup plain yogurt (sometimes I have substituted sour cream or just omitted this. If you are omitting this add another half a cup of liquid.)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup  juice from chicken or use chicken broth (One bouillon cube to one cup of water)
  • 1 roll ritz crackers crushed
  • 1 tsp poppyseed

Instructions

  • Mix soup, rice, chicken, yogurt, water

    In buttered 9 x 13 pan spread mixture
    crumble crackers
    mix with melted butter
    sprinkle crushed Ritz crackers on top
    sprinkle poppy seeds on top of crackers
    Bake at 350 for 20 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.
